Fire in the workplace

Type of fire, its context and firefighting procedure

Identifying, selecting and checking appropriate firefighting and safety equipments

Fighting containable and extinguishable fires

Retreating from fire site and handing over to appropriate personnel

Report and record status of fire and equipment

Requirements

To participate in the Basic Fire Fighting training course, delegates must meet the following requirements:Be at least 18 years of age.Hold a valid South African Identity Document or Passport.Be physically capable of performing practical tasks such as using fire extinguishers and participating in evacuation drills.Have a basic understanding of the training language to effectively follow instructions.

All course materials, including manuals and safety gear, will be provided. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for practical activities. Attendance for the full duration of the course is mandatory to qualify for certification. The training accommodates a minimum of 10 participants per session, ensuring personalized attention and effective learning.
