Course content 

  • Understanding the principles of offensive driving and its benefits

  • Enhancing situational awareness and hazard anticipation

  • Vehicle control techniques for various road and weather conditions

  • Managing speed, following distances, and reaction times

  • Safe overtaking, merging, and lane-changing practices

  • Navigating high-traffic areas and intersections safely

  • Emergency maneuvers, including braking, skidding, and collision avoidance

  • Handling aggressive drivers and road rage situations

Requirements

To participate in the Offensive driver training course, delegates must meet the following requirements:Be at least 18 years of age.Hold a valid South African Identity Document or Passport.Have a basic understanding of the training language to effectively follow instructions and engage with course material.Possess basic literacy and communication skills to participate in discussions and complete assessments.All course materials, including manuals and reference documents, will be provided. Delegates are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen for personal notes.

Participants should wear professional or comfortable attire suitable for classroom-based activities. Full attendance throughout the course is mandatory to qualify for certification. A minimum of 10 participants per session is accommodated to ensure personalized instruction and meaningful engagement.
